Sub Level Controller
If you can't use a soldering iron then I'm afraid this isn't one that you'll be able to do yourself.
All a sub level controller is made up of, is a 20k Dual Potentiometer (variable resistor). Wired between the head unit and the amp. Here's what the main component looks like:

It's wired up so that the centre conductor of each of the input RCA's is connected to one end of the resistor, and the screen to the other. The output it then drawn from the middle pin, and can be varied from full signal to full ground (no signal). The screen for the output leads is connected to the screen of the inputs, all the screens can be connected together if needs be, as they are all connected inside the head unit anyway. The centre conductors should be kept apart and heat shrink used to cover the pins after the wires are soldered on. The unit can then be attached inline with the RCA leads, before the amp, and mounted in a suitable place on the dash board. Make sure that none of the wires touch anything else, wrap the unit in insulation tape if necessary.
The circuit is wired up as follows:

ATTENTION: Make sure everything is connected correctly before using the unit or damage may be caused to either the head unit or amp. The webmaster will not be held responsible for any damage you cause to your equipment.
